Programs for Middle and High School
YPP is the headline program plus festival opportunities. Programs include:
- Young Playwrights Program (YPP) for middle and high schoolers
- ACTLab partner productions
- Mainstage student attendance
- Annual Young Playwrights Festival
- School partnerships across Puget Sound
What's Included
- Mentorship from professional ACT dramaturgs and directors
- Performance of student-written work
- Access to ACT mainstage and ACTLab productions
- Multi-year program (students can re-enroll season over season)
Experience
Best regional option for kids who want to write for the stage rather than just perform. ACT mounts new works as part of its identity, so YPP students train inside a working new-play development house.
