Original-Play Youth Theater Program at BCT
Boise Contemporary Theater (BCT) runs the Academy for Contemporary Theater (A.C.T.) for ages 7-18, where students collaborate to conceive, write, and perform original plays drawn from their own lives at BCT's professional Fulton Street stage.
Programs for Kids and Teens
Curriculum has two main tracks plus summer intensives. Offerings include:
- Theater Lab (ages 12-18) - write and perform original plays
- Stage One (ages 7-11) - creative writing-to-performance arc
- Summer intensives in playwriting
- Improv classes
- Acting fundamentals classes
- Musical theater classes
- Scene study classes

- Indoor professional theater venue at 854 Fulton St
- Student work performed on BCT's professional mainstage
