Four-Sheet NHL Practice Facility in Maryland Heights
Centene Community Ice Center is the official practice facility of the NHL's St. Louis Blues, a 277,000 sq ft complex in Maryland Heights that opened in 2019. The facility features four NHL-size ice sheets including one covered outdoor multi-purpose rink, a strength and conditioning center, and dedicated skill-development areas.
Programs for Kids
Programs ladder from first lessons through competitive league play. Programs include:
- Little Blues Learn to Play for ages 4-9 (6-week program, full equipment provided)
- Continue to Play for Little Blues graduates
- Girls Hockey Development Program (Bauer-presented, ages 4-14)
- Learn to Skate group classes
- Youth Recreational League
- Hockey camps and clinics
- Freestyle skating
- Stick & Puck drop-in
- Drop-In Hockey sessions

- Adult Learn to Play (18+ four-week program)

Experience
Little Blues participants spend six on-ice sessions in full equipment learning hockey basics, then graduate with a ceremony. Older skaters progress into Continue to Play or join Recreational League. The Blues practice setting and four-sheet capacity make this the de facto regional center for St. Louis hockey.
