CoderDojoKC — Free Monthly Coding Club for Kids Ages 7-17

CoderDojoKC runs at the KC STEM Alliance space on Troost Ave (same building as WeCode KC). Sessions are the second Saturday of each month from 9am-12pm. Kids of any skill level welcome — completely free.

CoderDojoKC Programs

Self-paced mentored coding sessions. Kids choose what to work on. Options include:
- Scratch for beginners
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript intro
- Python basics
- Robotics (when mentors available)
- Game development
- AI/ML intro

100% free
Volunteer mentors 1:3 ratio
Any skill level welcome
Parent stays on-site
Laptops available (bring own if possible)

Experience

Best for curious kids who want to try coding without committing to a paid program. Mentor quality is strong (tech professionals volunteering). Open-ended format lets kids explore their interests.
