Crocker Amazon Playground
About
Crocker Amazon Playground
Major San Francisco Recreation & Parks sports complex in the Excelsior District at the city's southern edge - one of SF's largest sport-turf footprints. Five full-size, lighted synthetic turf fields, lined specifically for both soccer and lacrosse, opened in 2007 and serve as a primary venue for spring youth lacrosse leagues, weekend tournaments and summer clinics.
Lacrosse use
The five-field cluster is among the busiest permitted lacrosse venues in SF, hosting NCJLA (Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association) club practices, summer training and tournament weekends. Fields are striped with lacrosse markings - rare among SF municipal turf complexes.
