Florida's Oldest Children's Theatre
Florida Children's Theatre (also known as Fort Lauderdale Children's Theatre) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 1952, the oldest documented children's theatre in the state. The organization runs year-round classes plus a season of five mainstage productions at the FLCT Studio Theatre inside Galleria Mall.
Year-Round Programs for Ages 4-18
Multi-discipline programming spans theatre, circus, and film with classes scaled from creative drama for the youngest students to performance projects for teens. Programs include:
- Acting and Creative Drama classes (Pre-K through 12th grade)
- Performance Project classes culminating in a show
- Circus arts (beginner through advanced troupes)
- Film classes
- Private coaching in voice, monologue, dance, and circus
- Summer camp
