Philadelphia Flyers Official Practice Facility
Flyers Training Center (also branded Skate Zone) is the official practice facility of the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers, located in Voorhees, NJ across the river from Philadelphia. The facility hosts NHL practice ice, the Flyers Rookie Program, learn-to-skate, figure skating, and competitive youth and adult leagues.
Programs for Kids
Programs ladder skaters from first lessons through high-school hockey. Programs include:
- Flyers Rookie Program (Learn to Play) for ages 5-9, 5 sessions with full equipment ($274)
- Learn to Skate group classes
- Flyers Hockey School clinics and camps
- Future All-Stars and Edgework skill clinics
- Gladiators, Philadelphia Liberties, Flyers Youth, Voorhees Mighty Mites youth clubs
- Middle School and High School competitive leagues
- Figure skating instruction
- Private skating lessons
- Summer skating school
- Public skating sessions and birthday parties
What's Included
- Multiple NHL-size indoor ice sheets (Flyers practice ice)
- Locker rooms used by NHL players
- Equipment included in Flyers Rookie Program
- Coaching staff including Flyers development coaches

- Daily hours 7 AM - 11 PM
Experience
The Rookie Program puts first-time players in full gear on Flyers practice ice with USA Hockey-sanctioned curriculum. Younger skaters work fundamentals - balance, stride, falling safely - before progressing into in-house clubs and travel teams. The Voorhees location is accessible from both Philadelphia and the South Jersey corridor.
