Fort Ward Park & Museum is a City of Alexandria park preserving the best-remaining Union fort from the Civil War defense system of Washington, DC (1861-1865). The grounds combine the historic fort with an amphitheater, dog exercise area, museum, park shelter, picnic areas, and a playground.
