Downtown Grand Rapids Community Theatre
Grand Rapids Civic Theatre is a long-running community theatre on Division Avenue in downtown Grand Rapids. Alongside its mainstage productions, it runs the School of Theatre Arts, one of the most comprehensive community theatre education programs in the country.
Classes Ages 2 Through Adult
Year-round Fall, Winter, Spring terms plus summer camps with over 100 classes annually. Programs include:
- CORE Acting (foundational acting curriculum)
- CORE Musical Theatre
- Improv and Sketch Writing electives
- Backstage tracks (costume design, prop design, stagecraft)
- Dance for Musical Theatre (ballet, tap)
- Performance Block with full productions
