International School for Peace
About
International School for Peace in the Foothills
The International School for Peace is Tucson's first Spanish-immersion preschool, established in 2004 on the campus of St. Francis in the Foothills church on River Road. It runs play-based full and partial Spanish immersion for young children, with the day built around songs, games, and play rather than worksheets.
Language Programs
Families can choose how much Spanish fills the day. Programs include:
- Full Spanish-immersion preschool classes
- Partial immersion, about 70% English with 30% Spanish enrichment
- Weekly Hebrew and Farsi enrichment in the full-immersion class
- Play-based early language learning
