About
Five-Decade Youth Theatre at Rosewood Arts Centre
Kettering Children's Theatre (KCT) has been producing youth shows for over fifty years at the Rosewood Arts Centre. The program is non-auditioned, giving every student an equal chance to perform on stage regardless of prior experience.
Theatre Program for Ages 9-15
Two main productions per year, fully cast with youth participants. Programs include:
- Two professionally directed productions per year
- Non-auditioned model for students in grades 5-9
- Recent productions include Robin Hood, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland
- Public speaking and self-confidence skill building
What's Included
- Stage time at the Rosewood Arts Centre theatre
- Direction by professional theatre staff
- Two mounted productions per year for every cast member
- Equal-opportunity casting (no audition gatekeeping)
Experience
The non-audition model suits kids who want stage experience without the rejection cycle that comes with audition-only programs. Five decades of continuous production gives the program institutional weight uncommon for city-run youth theatre.
