LA Tennis Centers' Smallest, Most Personal Venue
LA Tennis Centers operates the Westwood location at Westwood Recreation Center on South Sepulveda Boulevard, ten minutes from Brentwood, Santa Monica, and Mar Vista. As the smallest of the three LA Tennis Centers sites (after Cheviot Hills and Palisades), the Westwood courts give kids more individual attention than the larger venues.
Junior Tennis Programs
The same JD ladder runs across all LA Tennis Centers locations:
- Big Hitters (ages 4-5) - intro racquet handling with foam balls
- JD1 (ages 6-7) - early stroke development in 45-minute sessions
- JD2 (ages 8-10) - rally and basic match play, 90-minute sessions
- JD3 (ages 11-12) - sustained play and stroke refinement
- JD4 (ages 13+) - teen development and competitive prep
- Preteen and Academy tracks for stronger competitive players
- Summer Camps and private lessons

The smaller footprint means kids see the same coaches consistently and groups stay tighter than at the busier Cheviot Hills site. Families on the Westside often cross-shop with private clubs in Brentwood and Santa Monica - Westwood is the more affordable park-court option with a real curriculum.
