10-acre botanical garden in City Park, opened in 1936 as New Orleans' first public classical garden via the Works Progress Administration. The garden houses 2,000+ varieties of plants from around the world across themed zones.

Experience
New Orleans families use the Botanical Garden for free recurring outdoor exploration in City Park. The Victory Avenue location is inside City Park, adjacent to the Louisiana Children's Museum and reachable from I-610 and the Esplanade Avenue streetcar.
