Experience
Dual model distinguishes from competition-only FIRST coordination orgs - kids can attend workshops at NYC STEM Centers regardless of competition team enrollment. Open-access fabrication tools (3D printers, laser cutters) give teens real maker-space exposure rare at neighborhood schools. Best for NYC families with kids serious about robotics or hands-on engineering.
