Old Cowtown Museum is a 23-acre living-history museum on the Chisholm Trail in downtown Wichita. Fifty-four historic and re-created buildings - jail, mercantile, blacksmith, schoolhouse, period farm - bring 1870s Kansas to life with daily demonstrations.

The museum runs daily living-history programming with special seasonal events. Programs include:

Experience
Walk-through history for elementary kids - they meet costumed re-enactors, watch a blacksmith work iron, see farm animals as part of the period setting. Open Tue-Sat 10am-5pm; Sundays 12-5pm (April-October). Adult $12, ages 5-17 $10, under 4 free.
