Oregon Robotics Tournament and Outreach Program
ORTOP is the home of FIRST Oregon, organizing the full continuum of FIRST robotics programs across the state since 2001. The Barbur Boulevard office in southwest Portland anchors year-round operations and roughly 65 events on the annual calendar.
Programs for Grades 4-12
Students join one of three program tiers tied to age band, with progression baked into the design. Programs include:
- FIRST LEGO League for elementary and middle school
- FIRST Tech Challenge for middle and high school
- FIRST Robotics Competition for high school
- Tournaments, scrimmages, and outreach events across Oregon

Experience
A team-sport-style commitment for students chasing competition robotics. Builds across CAD, fabrication, electrical, and programming with a real season calendar driving practices and event weekends.
