Padre Island National Seashore protects 70 miles of undeveloped Gulf Coast barrier island - the longest stretch of its kind in the world. The Malaquite Visitor Center is the main public access point, with year-round ranger programs, beach access, and a critical sea-turtle nesting program.
Junior Ranger & Family Programs
The National Park Service runs interpretive programs and a strong Junior Ranger track. Programs include:
