Structured Art Curriculum for Grades 1-9+ in Sugar House
Petersen Art Center on East 2100 South offers grade-level art curriculum for children and teens, with a 2-hour weekly format running year-round. Older teens (grade 9+) can access adult-level classes including watercolor, oil painting, pottery, and drawing.
Programs by Grade Level
Classes are organized into grade-based tracks with age-appropriate progression. Programs include:
- Grades 1-3: Elementary art curriculum
- Grades 4-6: Foundational art principles
- Grades 7-8: Advanced skills building
- Grades 9+: Access to adult classes (watercolor, oil, pottery, drawing)
- Watercolor specifically open to ages 14+
