About
City Recreational Volleyball for Grades 3–12
Portland Parks & Recreation runs affordable youth volleyball leagues at Beverly Cleary School, open to all skill levels. The program focuses on fun, fundamentals, and team play in a non-competitive recreational setting.
League Format
Six-week seasons run in fall and spring with a 4v4 game format that gives every player more touches and development time:
- Wednesday evening practices
- Saturday morning games
- Individual players or full teams welcome
- All skill levels from beginner to experienced
What's Included
- Indoor gym at Beverly Cleary School
- Organized league with coached practices and officiated games
- Individual registration at $145 or team registration $150–$350
- 4v4 format maximizes playing time for every kid
Experience
Portland Parks volleyball is ideal for kids who want to try the sport without the travel club commitment. The smaller 4v4 format means more ball contacts per player, faster skill development, and a welcoming atmosphere for first-timers.
