Golf and Character Development for San Diego Youth
Pro Kids, First Tee – San Diego has been building game changers by combining golf instruction with life skills training. The organization operates at two locations — Colina Park (City Heights) and the Honors Course in Oceanside — and serves underserved youth across San Diego County.
Programs
Monthly classes structured by age group, led by PGA members and apprentices:
- Ages 7–9 — confidence building, golf fundamentals, and peer interaction
- Ages 10–11 — collaborative character exploration with deeper golf skills
- Ages 12–13 — technique and character development balance
- Ages 14+ — advanced golf, personal development, and future planning
- Pro Kids Academy (Learning Center) — academic support alongside golf
- Summer camps and scholarship programs
What's Included
- Monthly class registration (opens 15th of each month)
- Two course locations: 18-hole Colina Park and par-3 Honors Course
- Curriculum covering chipping, pitching, swing mechanics, and club selection
