Provin Trails Park is a 156-acre Kent County park in north Grand Rapids - hardwood forest, prairie restoration, and three miles of natural-surface trails connect to the wider Kent County trail system.
What Kids Can Do
Three miles of trails wind through hardwood forest and grassland - the Bartle Loop is the family starter (1 mile, mostly flat). Kids spot white-tailed deer, foxes, hawks, and turkey along trails. Cross-country skiing in winter. Snowshoeing groomed trails available. Picnic tables at main parking area. Educational signs identify native trees and prairie plants [marked: trails not maintained for strollers - dirt and roots throughout].
What's Included
Free day-use of all trails and picnic areas. Kent County rangers lead occasional naturalist hikes.
