Drop-In STEAM Studio in Southwest Durham
Purpose Learning Lab is a Durham nonprofit running a small-group drop-in studio behind the William A. Stephens Multipurpose Building. Programming is STREAM-infused (science, tech, reading, engineering, arts, math) and pairs hands-on labs with wellness and family support.
Programs for Children
Mixed-age STEAM sessions blend lab activities, arts and crafts, and group projects with breaks for outdoor time. Programs include:
- After-school STEAM drop-in labs
- Summer STEM day camps
- Track-out programming on year-round school breaks
- Tutoring and ESA-eligible services
- Wellness and mentorship workshops
