About

Fort Mason's Longtime Toddler-Through-Tween Art Studio

SF Children's Art Center has been a resident organization at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture for decades, operating out of Building C. The focus is unusually age-specific - one of the few SF studios with genuine toddler-age classes (starting at 22 months).

- Clay
- Photography

What's Included

  • Ages served: 22 months to 10 years
  • Process-over-product philosophy centered on individual creative vision
  • Real art materials rather than craft kits
  • Unique Fort Mason waterfront setting

Experience

One of the few studios in San Francisco where you can bring a toddler to a real art class (most studios start at 3 or 4). The Fort Mason atmosphere - working artists, waterfront view, museums upstairs - gives classes a more serious feel than typical kids' craft studios. Long-running fixture of the SF children's arts scene.
