South Tulsa Children's Ballet & Theatre
About
Nonprofit Ballet & Theatre for Kids
South Tulsa Children's Ballet & Theatre is a South Tulsa nonprofit founded in 2001 that produces four annual performances — two ballets and two musicals — with a "every child gets a part" casting philosophy.
Programs
Performance-first structure rather than class-first. Programs include:
- Summer Ballet production
- The Children's Nutcracker (winter)
- Spring Musical Theatre
- Summer Musical Theatre
- Auditions for placement (not exclusion)
What's Included
- Every auditioned child guaranteed a performance role
- Professional costumes, rehearsal space and instruction covered by donations and ticket sales
- Broader community audience — serves dancers already enrolled at other studios
- Two ballets and two musicals per year
- Supportive environment without competition pressure
- Cross-discipline engagement with gymnastics and music students
Experience
Distinct value for Tulsa families whose kids already take classes elsewhere and want real stage experience without competition-studio politics. The "everyone gets a part" guarantee makes it especially good for confidence-building.
