Sioux Falls Premiere Youth Theatre at Washington Pavilion
Spotlight Theatre Company (formerly Dakota Academy of Performing Arts / DAPA, rebranded September 2024) is the Washington Pavilion's youth theatre program. Programming covers acting, musical theatre, technical theatre, and design for students ages 6-18.
Year-Round Productions, Classes, and Camps
Programming combines mounted productions with skill-building classes and intensives. Programs include:
- Year-round youth theatre classes
- Three audition-cast productions per semester (~150 kids per cycle)
- Acting, musical theatre, tech, and design tracks
- Summer camps (Acting Up, Junior Musical Theatre Camp, Spotlight Sing Dance Act, Improv Camp)
- Private acting lessons
- Storyland Children's Theatre productions (community-touring)
- The Spotlight Awards annual high school recognition program

Experience
