Georgia's Historic State Theatre and Premier Young-Actor Training
Springer Theatre Academy operates inside the Springer Opera House - Georgia's official State Theatre - in downtown Columbus. Founded in 1996, the Academy grew from 200 students to over 700 and is described as the southeast's premier young-actor training program.
Programs for Kids
Academy classes pair year-round seasonal training with a large summer intensive. Programs include:
- Year-round seasonal Academy classes by completed grade level
- Summer Academy with age-appropriate intensives
- Core training in voice, movement, improvisation, scene study, and musical theatre
- Mainstage and children's theatre productions
- PAIR arts-integration and First Act touring programs
