The Mad Potter has been a Houston staple for decades, and its River Oaks flagship on West Gray Street (recently moved up the block to #2040) is the most recognizable paint-your-own-pottery destination in the city. Three locations total - River Oaks, Memorial, Bellaire.
Camps, Classes, and Drop-In
Year-round walk-in plus structured summer camps. Options include:
- Weekly summer camps for ages 5-17, themed weeks with crafts, games, coloring
- 250+ paint-your-own pottery options (coin banks, dragon/dinosaur statuettes, bulldog mugs, holiday gifts)
- Three kids' birthday party tiers: Classic, Signature, and Ultimate Mad Party
- Field trips (on-site or mobile) plus holiday workshops

Experience
The default Houston kids' art outing - camps fill up fast for a reason. If your kid loves coloring and picking out kitschy figurines to paint, Mad Potter is the one. Camps are less formal art instruction and more themed fun with pottery baked in.
