Process-Based Art Studio for Kids in Downtown Bakersfield

The Playful Space is a children's art studio in downtown Bakersfield offering group art classes, summer camps, and themed creative sessions. Programs emphasize process-based making and social-emotional development alongside artistic skill building.

Programs for Ages 7 and Up

Monthly group classes run during the school year; themed summer camps run Tuesday through Thursday mornings. Programs include:
- Mini Makers (ages 7-9, Tuesdays 1-2:30pm, 3 classes/month)
- The Art Gang (ages 10-12, Tuesdays 3:30-5pm, 3 classes/month)
- The Creative Crew (ages 13+, Thursdays 3:30-5pm, 3 classes/month)
- Summer Art Camp (ages 10+, 6 themed weekly sessions, 9am-12pm, $249/week)
