Cajun Culture Theater Program for Young Children
Theatre Acadie is devoted to fostering performing arts and preserving Cajun culture through theatre classes, camps, workshops, and productions. Programming targets early childhood through middle school with bilingual Cajun-French elements woven into theatrical work.
Programs for Kids
Petits classes run weekly during the school year plus summer camps split by age band. Programs include:
- Theatre classes for ages 3-6 (year-round Petits classes)
- Summer camps ages 4-6 (mornings 9am-12pm)
- Summer camps ages 7-9 (afternoons 2pm-5pm)
- Workshops with Cajun/Creole cultural elements
- Productions that celebrate Acadiana heritage
