Operation 36 Junior Golf Just North of Portland

Tri-Mountain Golf Course in Ridgefield, WA (just across the river from Portland) runs junior golf through three complementary programs — Operation 36 development classes, PGA Junior League, and PGA Junior Golf Camps. Director of Instruction Michael Parker leads the programming.

Junior Programs

Three formats for ages 6–18:
- Operation 36 (ages 6–18) — skill classes, 9-hole playing sessions, and app-based progress tracking toward shooting par (36) for 9 holes
- PGA Junior League — team scramble format with numbered jerseys, all skill levels, PGA/LPGA certified coaches
- PGA Junior Golf Camps — half-day and full-day options covering full swing, short game, rules, and etiquette

Tri-Mountain is the go-to option for Clark County (Vancouver, Ridgefield, Battle Ground) families who are part of the Portland metro but don't want to cross the river for lessons. The Operation 36 framework gives juniors a clear, measurable goal to work toward, and the facility's practice amenities — driving range, chipping greens, and a 9-hole putting course — give kids plenty to work on between sessions.
