Wallingford Playfield Outdoor League

United States Youth Volleyball League (USYVL) runs its Seattle program on the grass at Wallingford Playfield in north-central Seattle, with twice-weekly outdoor sessions in spring and early summer.

Co-Ed Divisions (Ages 7–15)

Programs split into four age-based divisions, all open to beginners. Classes include:
- 7–8 year old division
- 9–10 year old division
- 11–12 year old division
- 13–15 year old division
- Beginner, intermediate, and experienced players welcome

• T-shirt and season medal with registration
• Clinician-led format with experienced head coach
• Volunteer coaches under clinician supervision
• Thursday evening (6–7 pm) + Saturday morning (9–10 am) sessions

Experience

Right fit for families wanting an inexpensive, outdoor, low-commitment way to try volleyball in a central Seattle neighborhood. The grass surface is gentler on new players' knees, and the volunteer-coach model keeps fees low compared to private clubs.
