Second-Oldest U.S. Public Aquarium
Waikiki Aquarium, founded in 1904 and run by the University of Hawai'i at Manoa since 1919, sits oceanside between Kapiolani Park and Diamond Head. The collection focuses on Pacific reef species and Hawaiian marine ecosystems, with outdoor exhibits including a Hawaiian monk seal habitat.
Summer by the Sea Camps
Marine biology camps run summer weeks plus seasonal sessions. Programs include:
- Summer by the Sea (ages 8-12 marine biologists)

Experience
Real reef science with UH researchers - kids step from the classroom to the actual reef in 10 minutes. Strong fit for marine-curious kids who can swim. Open daily 9am-5pm.
