West Point on the Eno is a 404-acre Durham city park along a 2-mile stretch of the Eno River - six miles north of downtown. Three restored 1800s historic buildings (West Point Mill, Photographic Museum, McCown-Mangum House), 5 miles of scenic trails, picnic shelters, and an amphitheater.
What Kids Can Do
Five miles of trails wind through hardwood forest along the Eno River - flat enough for kids to walk the first mile. The restored 1800s grist mill operates on Sundays demonstrating water-powered milling. Photography Museum displays old cameras and prints. McCown-Mangum House shows farmhouse life from 1800s.
