Established in 1980, the Acrosstown Repertory Theatre (ART) is an intimate 50-seat community theatre on South Main Street. The theatre hosts youth performances alongside its main programming of drama, comedy, period pieces, and musicals - plus an annual new-works play festival each spring.
Programs for Kids
Programming includes audition opportunities for youth performances and regional premieres. Programs include:
- Youth performance opportunities in productions
- Regional premieres and touring productions
- New Works Play Festival (spring annually)
- Mainstage seasonal productions
- Volunteer track for young theatre artists
What's Included
- Intimate 50-seat venue (close audience contact)
- Audition-based youth casting
- Exposure to new plays and premieres
- Volunteer-driven community theatre model
Experience
