Florida's Oldest Community Theatre with Workshops and Youth Programming
Founded in 1927, the Gainesville Community Playhouse is Florida's oldest community theatre. Since 2006 it has operated out of the Vam York Theater, a 210-seat venue capable of staging full musicals. GCP runs a season of six shows plus workshops and educational programming open to young actors.
