Bellevue Youth Theatre
About
City-Run Inclusive Theatre at Crossroads International Park
Bellevue Youth Theatre is a city-funded recreational theatre program operating from a purpose-built theatre at Crossroads International Park, opened 2015. The program casts every participant who auditions and produces 11 mainstage shows annually for ages 5-19.

- Technical roles: set design, lighting, costuming, stage crew
- Student projects and original work development
- Storybook Series for younger audiences
What's Included

- "Everyone gets cast" audition policy
- Inclusive programming for performers with disabilities
- Sliding-scale registration tied to city recreation fees
- 12-7pm Monday-Friday office hours
Experience
The everyone-cast model is the differentiator - kids who'd be cut from a competitive school musical find roles here, which builds the confidence that competitive programs often kill. The technical-roles option matters too: kids who don't want to perform get real backstage training instead of being told it's stage-or-nothing.
