Police Athletic League NFL Flag Football at McCarthy Park
Buffalo PAL is a city-affiliated nonprofit running supervised sports programming for greater Buffalo youth. The NFL Flag Football program runs each spring outdoors at McCarthy Park in the city's University District.
Spring NFL Flag Football League
Six-week non-contact league for players ages 8-14. Programs include:
- Co-ed flag football teams
- Weekly practices plus games on Saturdays
- Skill instruction in passing, route-running, and defense
- End-of-season playoffs

- NFL Flag jerseys and flag belts
- Coaching by PAL volunteers and Buffalo Police mentors
- Field play at McCarthy Park's neighborhood diamond
Experience
Run by police-officer volunteers and community coaches, the league emphasizes character, sportsmanship, and access for kids who might not otherwise get to play organized football. The setting is neighborhood-scale, low-pressure, and aimed at fundamentals.
