About

Campbell's Rec Hub in the Heart of Downtown

Campbell Community Center is the City of Campbell Recreation and Community Services Department's main facility, located in the converted historic former Campbell High School campus at 1 West Campbell Avenue. The Recreation Office at Suite C-31 runs the city's youth sports camps, classes, and seasonal programming alongside the campus's gym, fields, and meeting rooms - and Campbell proper sits in the SJ South Bay metro just 8 miles west of downtown San Jose, reachable from Saratoga, Los Gatos, Willow Glen, Cambrian, and Santa Clara families alike.

Youth Lacrosse Camps

The Recreation Department's Summer Sports Camp lineup includes a Skyhawks Sports lacrosse camp - one of about a dozen sport-specific weeks the city runs from mid-June through early August. The lacrosse week is a fundamentals introduction designed for early-experience players, with Skyhawks bringing loaner sticks and protective gear so newcomers can register without owning equipment.

What's Included

  • Skyhawks Sports lacrosse week (one of multiple summer-camp weeks offered)
  • Day-camp format (typical 9:00 AM-12:00 PM block, weekly)
  • Open registration to residents starting May, non-residents the next day
  • Held at Campbell Community Center campus fields/courts
  • Loaner equipment provided by Skyhawks

  • Co-ed youth groups, age tiers within the broader Day Camp 2.5-15.5 span

Experience

Campbell Community Center has anchored the city's parks-rec programming for decades, occupying the former high school campus on a 13-acre downtown site. The combination of indoor gym/courts plus outdoor fields makes it usable for multi-sport summer programming - the same campus runs basketball, soccer, tennis, baseball, and lacrosse weeks back-to-back through summer. Skyhawks Sports is a national multi-sport camp operator with a low-barrier instructional curriculum that has run at Campbell for multiple summers and is consistently part of the city's published Summer Activity Guide.
