Carolina Raptor Center - Bird-of-Prey Rehabilitation in Huntersville
Wildlife rehabilitation hospital and education facility dedicated to birds of prey. The 57-acre wooded campus sits on the shore of Mountain Island Lake and includes an outdoor Raptor Trail with permanent ambassador birds: eagles, owls, hawks, vultures, and falcons in species-appropriate habitats.
Programs for Kids
Kids for Conservation summer camp plus private programming. Programs include:
- Eager Eaglets half-day camp (ages 4-6, summer sessions)
- Wings of Wonder full camp (ages 7-10, summer sessions)
- Private birthday parties
- Scout group programs
- School field trips

Experience
Huntersville and north Charlotte families use the center for up-close raptor encounters and conservation-focused camp weeks. Public visits are open daily 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include self-guided trail access plus live bird demonstrations.
