Tempe's 500+ Member Youth Hockey Association
Desert Youth Hockey Association (DYHA), competing as Jr. Sun Devils Elite, is the youth hockey organization serving over 500 Arizona kids per season, headquartered at Mountain America Community Iceplex inside Mullett Arena on the ASU campus. Founded as a Tempe-area institution serving the East Valley since the 1970s, DYHA moved from longtime home Oceanside Ice Arena to MACI in 2023.
Programs For Kids
Programming covers ages 4-18 across recreational and Tier II competitive tiers. Programs include:
- 8U Mite teams
- 10U Squirt teams
- 12U PeeWee teams
- 14U Bantam teams
- 16U Midget teams
- 18U Midget Tier II AA teams (Jr. Sun Devils Elite)
- Girls hockey track
- Summer camps and tryouts
