Two-Sheet South St. Paul Community Ice Arena

Doug Woog Arena, formerly Wakota Arena, has been a cornerstone of South St. Paul's hockey tradition since opening in 1962. The arena was renamed in 2015 to honor South St. Paul native and hockey icon Doug Woog. The facility now features two ice rinks and welcomes around 500,000 visitors annually, including youth association play, high school games, regional tournaments, figure skating, and community programming.

The arena hosts a full slate of season programming. Programs include:

The arena's hockey heritage runs deep - South St. Paul is one of Minnesota's classic hockey towns and Doug Woog himself produced generations of state-tournament teams. The two-sheet layout supports a heavy practice and league calendar without families competing for limited ice slots.
