Free Teen FIRST Tech Challenge Team

DownCity Design runs a free robotics team for Providence teens out of 370 Cranston Street. The team competes in FIRST Tech Challenge: DECODE, with no prior experience needed to join.

Programs for Teens

Sessions run Monday and Thursday afternoons during the season (early February through end of May). Programs include:
- FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team (free)
- Engineering design instruction
- Build, code, and compete cycles
- Team-based robotics projects

What's Included

• Free enrollment
• Tools, materials, and FTC competition kit
• Coaching from DownCity Design staff
• Workshop space at the Cranston Street studio

Experience

Best fit for Providence teens curious about engineering who want a no-cost on-ramp to FIRST Tech Challenge. Twice-weekly meetings build into a full competition season.
