High Altitude Martial Arts
About
11,300 sq ft BJJ and kickboxing gym
High Altitude Martial Arts runs out of a large dedicated training facility on East Hampden Avenue in Denver's Hampden South neighborhood - well-equipped with mats and an actual cage for sparring, not a shared rec-center room. The gym's focus is grappling and striking, not traditional belt-track karate.
Youth and family programs
Separate kids tracks for grappling and striking, alongside adult programming. Programs include:
- Youth Jiu Jitsu (BJJ Gi & No Gi)
- Youth Kickboxing & Striking
- Adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
- Muay Thai / Western Boxing / Dutch K1
- Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
- Private lessons and open mat sessions
What's Included
- 11,300 sq ft of mat space
- Cage for controlled sparring practice
- Experienced instructors across BJJ, striking, MMA
- All basic training equipment provided (pads, mats)
- Students provide their own gi for BJJ after trial
Experience
Kids here learn combat fundamentals rather than choreographed forms - actual grappling positions, actual striking mechanics. A good fit for Denver families who want real functional martial arts training over pure tradition.
