Public Ice Arena in West Roxbury
The Jim Roche Community Ice Arena is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts public ice skating facility owned by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and operated by FMC Ice Sports in partnership with the West Roxbury Community Center. The arena hosts year-round skating, hockey, and learn-to-skate programs for Boston-area families.
Programs for Kids
The arena partners with Bay State Skating School and other community organizations to deliver progression classes. Programs include:

Experience
Younger first-time skaters work on standing, marching, and basic glide before progressing into stops, turns, and hockey-style stride. Hockey-track students add stick-handling and puck control. The arena is a long-running neighborhood facility close to the VFW Parkway corridor.
