NoDa's Original 1948 YMCA

The Johnston Memorial YMCA has anchored the NoDa neighborhood since 1948 from its N Davidson St campus, often referred to as "the Heart of NoDa."

Youth Volleyball League

Johnston follows the YMCA "no tryouts, all skill levels" league format. Classes include:
- Seasonal volleyball league play
- Skills focus: passing, setting, spiking, blocking, digging, serving
- Volunteer-coached teams
- Same-team-keeps-playing format
- Practice + game weekly schedule
