K12 Gallery & TEJAS
About
K12 Gallery & TEJAS runs Dayton's most extensive kids art program out of its South Jefferson Street facility downtown, with cohorts split tightly by school grade.
Programs
- Mini-Makers Studio (Preschool + One) - parent-and-child sensory art
- Little Makers Studio (K-2nd) - foundational drawing, painting, and sculpture
- Artistic Medium Makers Studio (3rd-5th) - skill-building across mediums
- Hidden Gem 2D & 3D Studio (6th-12th) - advanced studio work for older students
- Pixels Digital Art Studio (4th-12th) - digital design and illustration
- Saturday Art Classes, Weekday Classes, Summer Camps, and Friday Night Paint-Ins
What's Included
All materials and supplies are bundled into class fees across all grade levels. Camps include daily projects with takeaways. Friday Night Paint-Ins are open-studio guided sessions.
Experience
The building runs Mon-Thu 9:30am-6pm, Fri until 5pm, and Sat 10am-2pm. The narrow grade-band cohorts are the differentiator - most Dayton studios mix wider age ranges, while K12 keeps kids with same-grade peers, which makes the social side of class easier for shy students.
