Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm
About
200-Acre Audubon Center Plus Working Education Farm
Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm is a 200-acre National Audubon Society sanctuary plus a 70-acre working education farm at the headwaters of the Stillwater River. Founded 1957 by conservationist Marie Aull, it is one of the oldest Audubon centers in the country.
What Kids Can Do
The Children's Discovery Pond and outdoor nature classroom let kids dip-net for tadpoles, water striders, and dragonfly larvae. Aullwood Farm has heritage-breed chickens, sheep, pigs, cattle, and goats kids can pet or watch milking. Five miles of trails wind through prairie, woods, and wetland - the Sugar Bush Loop is the family favorite. Indoor Nature Center has live raptor displays and hands-on exhibits. Summer day camps, homeschool programs, and birthday parties bookable [marked: farm activities only on Saturdays and select days - check audubon.org/aullwood for schedule].
