Kids Clay Room is exactly what the name promises - a Lincoln Park storefront on Halsted Street built entirely around getting young hands into clay. No adult classes share the space; everything is designed for kids.

Classes and Programs

Session-based instruction, no drop-ins, minimum age 5. Options include:
- Clay Handbuilding - ages 5+, molds, coils, slabs, underglazes
- Clay Handbuilding / Independent Study - ages 8+
- Wheel Throwing - ages 10+ (currently waitlisted)
- Finished pieces fired and ready for pickup in about 3 weeks

What's Included

• All clay, glazes, and firings
• Small-group instruction with kid-appropriate techniques
• Take-home ceramics that actually survive the kiln
• Advance scheduling required - no walk-in hours

Experience
