CSU Theatre's Open-Enrollment Summer Camp
Kids Do It All is the Colorado State University Theatre department's summer camp, open to community kids in grades 2-8 with eight one-week sessions running June and July at the University Center for the Arts.
Eight Week-Long Sessions
Each week kids playwright, design, compose music, choreograph, and perform an original 10-15-minute play. Programs include:
- 2nd-3rd graders track
- 4th-5th graders track
- 6th-8th graders track
- June 1-5, June 8-12, June 15-19, June 22-26 sessions
- July 6-10, July 13-17, July 20-24, July 27-31 sessions
- Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm + Friday 9am-3:45pm with free performance
- Original 10-15-minute play creation each week

Experience
The "create an original play in a week" model produces more creative ownership than rehearsing an existing script. The university setting gives kids access to facilities and faculty that small community studios can't match. The eight-session format makes scheduling easy for working parents.
