Lake Merritt Boating Center is the City of Oakland's youth and family boating facility, sitting on the shore of Lake Merritt. The center runs sail and boat rentals plus structured camps on the lake and Oakland Estuary.
Youth Boating & Sailing Camps
Camp tracks split by age and skill. Programs include:
- Explorer Boating Camp (ages 7-10)
- Basic Sailing Camp (ages 10-17)
- Intermediate Sailing Camp (ages 10-17)
- Advanced Sailing Camp (ages 12-17)
- Family boat rentals (rowboats, pedal boats, sailboats, catamarans)
- Open 7 days a week

- Resident pricing: $300/week; Non-resident $350+
- Instruction included with camp
Experience
